Hosted by Saudi Aramco and NMDC Energy, the forum brought subject matter experts and technology vendors together with the project leadership running offshore lifting and marine operations.
TENDERD took part in the Zuluf Offshore Safety Forum in Al Khobar on 26 August 2026, joining a selected group of subject matter experts and technology vendors invited by Saudi Aramco and NMDC Energy.
The forum convened internal and external specialists to examine the most pressing offshore safety risks encountered to date and those anticipated ahead. One of its stated objectives was to identify technologies suitable for deployment across contracting partner offshore scopes of work. Sessions covered emergency response for man-overboard, mental wellbeing for onshore and offshore employees, and the application of AI to HSE.
Arjun Mohan, Founder and CEO of TENDERD, presented “AI Safety Agents: Transforming HSE from Reactive to Proactive.”
“Risk on a site is continuous, but human attention is not. Our aim is to give HSE and Project Management teams visibility at the exact point of risk and a clear path from detection to closure, so they can move from reacting to incidents to preventing them.”
Arjun Mohan, Founder and CEO, TENDERD
The session focused on one of the most critical blind spots in lifting operations. On a working crane the operator frequently cannot see the hook, the load line or the personnel beneath the load. TENDERD’s AI Crane Camera mounts directly on the hook block and gives the operator a live view of the hook, load and surrounding personnel, bringing visibility to the point of risk. Across reference deployments in NMDC and McDermott, TENDERD has recorded a 90% reduction in high-risk blind-spot crane events.
Arjun then set out how AI Safety Agents extend that visibility into action. Rather than simply detecting an event, the approach is designed to move it through a complete loop of detect, alert, assign, verify and trend, so that corrective actions carry an owner and are tracked through closure rather than recorded and filed.
TENDERD also exhibited at the technology vendor walkthrough, demonstrating the AI Crane Camera units and a live emissions dashboard to the visiting delegation, which included Mohammed Al-Qahtani, Vice President at Saudi Aramco, and Eng. Hesham Awda, COO, Offshore at NMDC Energy. The discussions focused on practical applications of AI to improve lifting safety, expand HSE visibility and enable faster response across complex offshore operations.
TENDERD is an AI-powered platform helping asset-intensive organizations improve safety, efficiency, fuel intelligence and emissions performance. It connects equipment, IoT, camera and operational data with computer vision and AI Agents.
